Teen Challenge Columbus Girls Academy has had the privilege of hosting Base Camp 2010, February 7th -12th. Seventy staff members and presenters were in attendance representing 17 Teen Challenge facilities from the Southeast region.

Base Camp is a Bi-annual, week-long, training intensive designed by the Cooperate Development team of Teen Challenge, Southeast Region. We desire to always provide excellent service and strive for continuous improvement. Base Camp is one component of that, specifically designed to empower staff members that have recently come on board.

A few examples of topics presented at this year’s Base Camp include: Teen Challenge History, Philosophy, and Template; Temperament, Learning, and Communication Styles; and Cooperate Development. There were expert panels also available for discussion and learning.

Teen Challenge, having over 50 years of success, desires to stay true to its original purposes and mission, passing on its rich heritage to the organization’s up and coming leaders. Base Camp 2010 was a huge success, providing quality training and education to many current Teen Challenge employees.
