Teen Challenge Columbus Girls Academy students recently presented an anti-drug presentation: Stay Sharp, to 350 local high school students.
Stay Sharp is a hard hitting, high energy, drug prevention presentation designed to educate students on drug and alcohol abuse and the consequences of their choices. The dynamic video presentation addresses the facts, lies, and costs of addiction. Intertwined in the presentation TCCGA students share personal stories of their introduction to drugs and the destructive journey it lead them on. Our recent presentation was received with overwhelming interest and support from the sophomore class of Central High School. Our students received high praise and compliments for their hard work and dedication.
The purposes of Stay Sharp are to:
* Engage the hearts and minds of youth through a visual encounter.
* Educate youth about the dangers and consequences of drug and alcohol abuse.
* Equip youth to make healthy choices
* Empower youth with truth and hope.
Teen Challenge Columbus Girls Academy is a Christian Therapeutic Boarding School for girls ages 12 to 17. Our school is a disciplined and structured environment that emphasizes character development and personal responsibility. - The Teen Challenge Columbus Girls Academy is a 15-month discipleship program for girls 13-17 with life-controlling problems. We are a disciplined and structured environment that emphasizes character development and personal responsibility. Our program is designed to develop the whole person in four main areas: spiritual, social, academic and physical. Our 200-acre campus is a special place where students and families experience peace and tranquility as they work through the process of restoring relationships. We have a 35-acre lake for fishing, canoeing and paddle boats, hiking trails, tennis and basketball courts, softball field and volleyball. There are four student dorms, recreation building, school, laundry facility and main lodge on the lake where the dining, kitchen and offices are contained.
